Sow the City are working with the Achieve Recovery Service, at their centres in Salford, to provide a green wellbeing activity programme for people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
Sow the City are running a programme of green care workshops to engage with service users at Achieve Recovery Centres in Lower Kersal. The centres support people who have received treatment for, and are recovering from, drug and/or alcohol addiction. Service users are involved in creating new spaces for growing as well as planting, caring for and harvesting fresh produce. The project is backed by Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation’s Achieve Asset Fund, promoting recovery through social and educational training activities and support.
